Fighting for Democracy

AT&T has a lucrative contract with ICE to provide communication services to help them in their abduction and deportation efforts.

To show AT&T, and other companies, that many people disapprove of this cooperation with an authoritarian regime, there will be a demonstration on November 16 at 1 pm outside of the AT&T retail location at 305 N Veterans Parkway in Bloomington to educate the public about the ICE contract.

To register to attend the demonstration, click here.

The demonstration will take place on the grassy section of land between the AT&T office (between Chipotle and Jersey Mike’s) and Veterans Parkway. Parking can be had in the Fresh Thyme lot, away from the stores. Do not park in the lot directly in front of the AT&T office - we do not want to interfere with local businesses.

The goal of course is to get AT&T to cancel their contract with ICE, and to not enter into any new ones. But even if that goal is not met, just showing other companies that assisting this regime has negative consequences will be a positive outcome.

We are not targeting AT&T itself, only its contract with ICE. Store owners and workers are not the target. Customers are not the target. ICE is the target.
